Good day guys ! We are all familiar to the quote ” cleanliness is next to Godliness” and today this infographic would like to show all of us the importance of taking good care of our nature by means of cleanliness and proper waste management.

Based on our observation, one of the community problem that is needed to be taken an action is the improper waste management of Bacacays  public market. Many people felt sad about these according to the survey we have conducted.

In our infographic, it is shown their the do’s and don’ts , the negative effects of it if not been taken action and things we must do to achieve and maintain proper waste management .

Uncommonly used Filipino words,gr.4

Filipinos are multilingual persons , sharing different languages and cultures. Although, Filipinos are already fluent speaking in their native language still they have so much to learn and know, especially those uncommonly used Filipino words. We cited some of those , using it in a sentence for better understanding.

1.Bilnuran – Arithmetic

Nanghina ang loob ng tinanggap niya ang naging resulta ng kaniyang pagsusulit sa bilnuran

2.Kansunsilyo – Boxer shorts

Bumili siya ng bagong kansunsilyo.

3.Pang-ulong hatinig – Headset

Hiniling niyang makatanggap ng bagong pang-ulong hatinig bilang regalo sa kaniyang kaarawan.

4.Sentido-komon – Common sense

Bakit hindi mo pairalin ang iyong sentido-komon, kung meron ka man?

5.Awanggan – Infinity

Ang kislap ng mga bituin ay pilit umaabot sa awanggan ng kay dilim niyang mundo.

6.Initsigan – bibisitahin

Naghanda ang magkakaibigan ng maraming pagkain na dadalhin nila sa initsigang kaibigan.

7.Panginain – Browser

Naghanap siya ng kasagutan sa  panginain.

8.Napamgilakan – collection

Napakatamis ng kanyang ngiti habang pinagmasdan ang napangilakan ng kaniyang mga tropeyo.

9.Kartamuneta -wallet

Ang kartamuneta niya,y nawawala.

10.Di-mahapayang gatang – madaling magalit na babae

Nayayamot na nagpaliwanag ang lalaki sa kanyang di-mahapayang gatang kasintahan.

The Bumpy Road From Brgy. San Pedro to Brgy. Pili (GROUP 5)

    Bumpy roads have really been a concern of the people. It just not cause inconveniences but as well as accidents. This problem is a major concern for the drivers, commuters and the neighborhood from both barangays.

    Having a nice clean road to pass through means really a lot to commuters and drivers. Having a bump free road will help guarantee that a person’s trip will be nice but there are also some barangays that have bumpy roads that often cause accidents and injuries to drivers and commuters. This problem is exactly what’s going on in the roads from barangay San Pedro to Pili. To find out more about this we, conducted a research about this community problem.       The result of the survey shows that a lot of the respondents have been injured and had faced accidents when going through the roads from barangay San Pedro to Pili. The respondents hope for a sooner construction of the road.

        Road were built to provide people an efficient ways of transportation but roads often get damaged as time pass brought by many factors. Road renovations should be observed in provinces or cities that needed attention.  

 

 

Insufficiency of Street Lights in Zone 3, Barangay Panarayon, Bacacay, Albay (Group 1)

              Acknowledging different community problems in our society is a vital part of our development. As of today, the safety in every street has been one of the major concerns in each community. The problem regarding the insufficiency of street lights has been continuously arising in some Barangays. To be specific, this problem is currently seen in Zone 3, Barangay Panarayon, Bacacay, Albay. As a matter of fact, it has already caused different troubles for the people residing in the said area.

            To disclose this problem, a group of researchers has conducted a survey from the affected residents. They asked a few questions in order to find out the common trouble that they have already encountered and their opinions regarding this problem.untitled-5c-20i_36489498

       Bacacay is a small town surrounded with a lot of tourist destinations no one has ever imagined. However, lack of discipline is currently one of the devastating virtues that the Bacacayanos practice. So our company tried to foresee some of those things.

      Our company tried to take the concerns that the Bacacayanos are facing right now. We conducted a summary about a certain community problem, unauthorized vendors selling all round the sidewalks, in particular. Since we’re also one of the subjects affected by this lenient matter.

     

       To further understand this matter here are the summary of our conducted report.

QUESTIONNAIRE:

1. Did the municipality’s disciplinary action has taken measure to the citizens demands?

2. How does their selling activity affect your living?

        The affected personnels we surveyed are: Drivers, teachers, students, housewives, sari-sari store owner, and DSWD worker. They were one of the few persons that were greatly affected by this issue.

The Philippines is a southeast Asian country located in the western pacific, with almost 7,100 islands surrounding the Philippine Archipelago. Philippines is known to have a rich biodiversity blending with the breathtaking geographical settings located in the 82 provinces of the Philippines. Philippines may be a small country, but it is known for a fact that this country can offer many more. However, in today’s era, technology is not the only one who’s evolving, even language changes as time passes by. That’s why it is common that some of the foreigners are the Filipinos. Philippine languages are very diverse, because of different religion, traditions, language is also different among Filipinos.

Today, we are going to show you 10 uncommonly used Filipino words with meanings and how to use it in a sentence to avoid grammatical errors. This blog will help millennial and the generation alpha to be aware of their own language so that their apathy would be flipped into knowledge to conserve and preserve the Philippine languages. the following words are as follow.

The Philippines is a multilingual country with around 7,100 islands and 185 languages and dialects. Since the Philippines has many cities and provinces, this gave birth to a variety of language spoken in the different provinces in the country. Because of the variety of language used in the Philippines there are lot of uncommonly used words. Here are 10 uncommonly used words in the Philippines.

1: KALUMPI – wallet/pitaka

* Labis ang hinagpis ni Jose ng mawala ang kaniyang kalumpi  sapagkat laman nito ang pambayad sa kaniyang matrikula.

2: BATLAG – car/kotse

*Patay na ng dalhin sa ospital si Maya matapos mabangga ng humaharurot na batlag.

3: SAMBAT – fork/tinidor

*Matapos malaglag ni Maria ang sambat na kamiyang hawak at dumating din bigla ang kasintahan niyang si Alfonso.

4: DUYONG – money/pera

*Napilitan mangutang ng duyong si Mang Juan para sa pagpapagamot ng asawang may sakit.

5: KAMPIT – knife/kutsilyo

*Nakuha ng mga pulis ang kampit na ginamit sa pagpatay sa dalaga.

6: TSUBIBO – ferris wheel

*Isa sa mga pinakinatatakutan ko at ang pagsakay sa tsubibo.

To start with our first blog we would like to share with you some of the knowledge we’ve acquired throughout our research on this certain topic which is about ‘some of the uncommonly used Filipino words’.
Words have always been part of our daily routine. We always try to converse with others to learn and as well as to get to know them better. We use them frequently without any hint that there are things that barricades our communication which are those unfamiliar words that we haven’t realize that existed which confused our minds. So here are Some of the uncommonly used Filipino words:

1. PANG-ULONG HATINIG

English: Earphones / Headphones                                                                             Description: A device that is worn over or inserted into the ear and is used for listening to something (such as music or radio) without having other people hear it.      Sentence: Ang pang-ulong hatinig ang nagsisilibing instrumento ng mga musikero kung kinakailangan nilang gumawa ng awitin.

2. TABORETE

English: Chair                                                                                                                   Definition: A seat for one person that has back and usually four legs.                       Sentence: Ang pamilya Roces ay hindi gumagamit ng taborete kapag kumakain dahil kinagisnan na nilang kumain sa lapag.

3. BATLAG

English: Car                                                                                                                       Definition: A vehicle that has four wheels and an engine and that is used for carrying passenger on roads.                                                                                                               Sentence: Dumating si Joy sa paaralan nang nakasakay sa isang magarang batlag.

4. PUSONG 

English: Clown / Jester                                                                                                    Definition: A man who in the past was kept by a ruler to amuse people by acting silly and telling jokes who sometimes perform in circus that wears funny clothes and make-up to make people laugh.                                                                                                                Sentence: Dahil sa kasiyahang inihatid ng pusong walang batang naging malungkot hanggang matapos ang programa.

5. PANGHISO

English: Toothbrush                                                                                                        Definition: a brush for cleaning the teeth.                                                                        Sentence: Palagi akong gumagamit ng panghiso para hindi masira ang aking ngipin.

6. PAYNETA

English: Comb                                                                                                                   Definition: A flat piece of plastic,metal, or wood with row of narrow teeth used for untangling or arranging the hair.                                                                                       Sentence: Ang angking galing niya sa paggamit ng payneta ang naging daan upang makilala siya bilang isa sa pinakamahusay na hairstylist sa buong mundo.

7. PANTABLAY

English: Charger                                                                                                            Description: A device for charging storage batteries.                                                     Sentence: Naiwan ni Anna ang kanyang pantablay kung kaya’t di na niya nagamit ang kanyang cellphone.

8. AWANGGAN

English: Infinity                                                                                                           Definition: The quality of having no limits or no extent of time, space, or quantity.  Sentence: Ang pagkahilig ng mga kabataan sa mga mobile games ay awanggan, na kahit ang kanilang mga magulang ay hirap na silang awatin.

9. SAMBAT

English: Fork                                                                                                                Description: An implement with two or more prongs used for lifting food to the mouth or holding it when cutting.                                                                                                        Sentence: Nung pumunta ako sa restaurant ay nabigla ako ng makita kong napakaraming ibat’ ibang klase ng sambat.

10. KALUPI 

English: Wallet                                                                                                               Description: A small folding case that holds paper money and credit cards.            Sentence: Nawala kaninang umaga ang aking kalupi kaya di ako nakabili ng snack kanina.
